E-TEN's V900 gets handled, unloved

Bad camera, poor battery life, a dodgy d-pad, ugly color -- is there anything good to say about the most well-spec'd glofiish in E-TEN's range? Well, yes: with support for not one, not two, but four mobile TV standards under its belt, you'll have a hard time finding a WinMo set out there that's friendlier to telly on the go. Plus, the V900 rocks a flush VGA display and tri-band HSDPA, which are "good things" last time we checked; you're just going to have to put up with flimsy build quality and a host of software and hardware niggles to get 'em. At $700, it's hard to swallow the thought of buying a device this heavily panned in a review, but if you absolutely must be able to switch between DAB and DVB-T with aplomb... well, your crappy phone has arrived.

Reserved for the Korean market only, Motorola launched a new PEBL phone today. What’s cool about it? The external screen is hidden until activated and features touchscreen control. Other features include a 2MP camera, 7.2Mbps HSDPA and MP3 player.

Toshiba pushes out stylish 400GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive

Nothing too special about Tosh's latest USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive -- just a good lookin' 400GB unit that should slide into most average sized cargo pockets on the market today. The 6-ounce drive is available in "Electric Blue and Black" (pictured) as well as Carbon Grey, Hot Rod Red and Gecko Green, and while pricing has yet to be revealed, those looking to size it up can chew on these dimensions: 0.65- x 3.19- x 5.0-inches. Sigma's DP2 compact with DSLR-sized sensor gets even better

While the update from the SD14 to the SD15 was rather sad, just about any tweak to the bar-raising DP1 compact with 13.8- x 20.7-mm Foveon X3 sensor is reason to get excited. So listen up, Sigma just announced the DP2 -- same 14 megapixel X3 CMOS sensor only now coupled with Sigma's improved True II image processor and 24.2-mm F2.8 glass equivalent to 41-mm on a 35-mm SLR. ASUS' FV6 scented laptops now on sale: gotta smell 'em all

We're still struggling to believe that these are real, but apparently ASUS really is going to sneak a few scented laptops out to the eight prospective buyers still willing to pull the trigger after thinking it through. After being announced among of a slew of other machines late last month, the FV6 series of Fragrance Notebooks is up for sale right now. $1,274.99 gets you the FV6-C1, which evidently smells just like the color blue. Alienware Area-51 m17x Gaming Laptop on Sale

The Alienware Area-52 m17x gaming laptop will be dropping very soon. It comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, twin GPUs for great SLI action, a WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) display, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, lots of hard drive space, a dual-layer DVD writer (or optional Blu-ray burner), several ports and a 12-cell battery that lasts about an hour. Packard Bell iPower GX is the company’s latest gaming laptop that comes with a cool “street art cover”. This gaming monster has 1,920 x 1,200 resolution LCD display with nVidia 9800M GTS 1GB video card, Intel Core 2 Quad Q9100 processor, Draft-N Wi-Fi connectivity and Optional Blu-ray drive. Lenovo Thinkpad X200t Tablet PC

Here is a new tablet PC from Lenovo. The Thinkpad X200t comes in either 12.2 inch WideView MultiTouch LED Backlight or WideView Superbright LED Backlight or WideView Standard WXGA Panel. You can choose between a 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300, 1.6GHz SL9300 or 1.86GHz SL9400 CPUs. The tablet PC also offers up to 4GB of Memory, a choice of 128GB of SSD or 320GB of 5400rpm HDD or 200GB of 7200rpm HDD. For the connectivity, the X200t supports WiFi, WiMAX (Optional), WWAN (with GPS), Blu-Ray disc Drive, three USB ports and 4 cells or 8 cells battery. Samsung Releases NC10 10.2 Inch Netbook

Samsung has recently announced the new netbook this week. The Samsung NC10 comes jam packed with a 10.2 inch SuperBright Non-Gloss LED screen with a WSVGA resolution (1,024×600), an Intel Atom CPU, up to 160GB hard disk drive, Wifi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, 1.3MP webcam. The portable gadget comes with a 6 cell battery that offers 8Hours of battery life and is powered by Windows XP Home. The Samsung NC10 will be released in October for the European market. Mouse Computer G1000 Netbook

The Mouse Computer G1000 is a 10.2 inch netbook that offers 1,024 x 600 resolution with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, Multi-memory card reader, three USB 2.0 ports, and a 1.3MP camera. Weighing at 1.4kg, the laptop is powered by the Microsoft Windows XP Home and a 6-cell battery. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing or availability so far. [Akihabara]

Acer AS5520-7A1G16 Notebook in Japan

Acer will release a new notebook in Japan called the AS5520-7A1G16. It features a 15.4-inch screen and a 1,280 x 800 WXGA resolution. It runs on AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor and has 1GB memory and 160GB HDD. Acer has released it in Japan for USD$930.
